Meet Nalu Babe Katelyn Rose Munoz

If sunshine had a name, it would probably be Katelyn Rose Munoz—better known on Instagram as @Kateeleray.

This 19-year-old El Paso native is living proof that you can be both fierce and kind, confident and compassionate. Whether she’s out on a hike, volunteering with her nonprofit, or modeling her latest swimwear look, Katelyn is all about radiating positive energy and staying true to who she is.

When it comes to Nalu Bay Swimwear, Katelyn is obsessed—and for good reason. “They always provide top-quality swimwear for everyone,” she says. “There’s truly something for everyone, and every piece is perfect for anyone looking for cute, flattering, confident swimwear.” But being a Nalu Babe means more to her than just bikinis and beach days. “It’s about being part of a community of beautiful, intelligent women who share the same passion for modeling—and for making each other feel seen.”

In her free time, Katelyn is constantly on the move—literally. “I love being outdoors and working out,” she says. “I’m on a fitness journey, so I’m always exploring new hiking trails, running different routes, or trying out fun pilates classes.” Her passion for movement extends far beyond personal goals—she volunteers with local organizations and works closely with her nonprofit, Sol Invictus Inc., to uplift others through mental health awareness and physical wellness.

Her biggest inspiration? Her sister. “She’s the most courageous person I know—always traveling, continuing her education, and taking on the world,” Katelyn shares. “I look up to her so much and hope to follow in her fearless footsteps.” That same drive runs deep in Katelyn’s own journey. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a marine biologist—a goal sparked by her love for the ocean. “That love for the beach definitely helped me find my place as a Nalu Babe,” she smiles.

Among her proudest accomplishments is her work with Sol Invictus Inc., a nonprofit she’s deeply involved in. “We provide a safe and supportive space for people of all ages who are struggling with mental health,” she explains. “We host 5K runs and hikes to promote connection and movement, and offer help with things like marathon fees and running gear. Seeing our community come together is the most rewarding feeling in the world.”

As for modeling, Katelyn has her sights set sky-high. “I’d love to work with fitness clothing lines, walk the runway, and dive into editorial modeling,” she says. “But most of all, I want to build my own brand and promote fitness and mental health through everything I do.” She’s also passionate about photography—capturing emotion-filled moments that tell stories and freeze time. “Art has always been a part of me.”

Katelyn’s advice to younger girls? “Always show kindness to yourself and others. Even during tough times, compassion isn’t a weakness—it’s a choice that makes the world better.” With her big heart, big dreams, and Nalu Babe sparkle, Katelyn is carving out a path that’s as beautiful as it is impactful—and we’re lucky to watch her shine.
